400 Children
The ongoing conflict in Syria has left millions of people struggling to access basic needs like food and water. Vulnerable women and children are at high risk of malnutrition, which can lead to disease and even death. Without access to essential nutrition services, these communities are at risk of further suffering. Through this campaign the International humanitarian relief (IHR) aims to providing life-saving nutrition services to vulnerable communities in northwest Syria. We established three rapid response teams to implement nutrition activities in Mhambel, Ehsem, Ariha, and Jisr Shughur sub-districts. These teams screened communities and reach all pregnant and lactating women and children under five years, conducting the MUAC test to confirm malnutrition cases and providing the required supplies. The teams also distributed cash vouchers to the most vulnerable households, enabling them to purchase nutritious food.
